Bibimbap is a beloved Korean rice bowl known for its mix of flavors and textures. In this version, we swap traditional white rice for antioxidant-rich purple rice and boost the protein with bone broth and edamame. Spicy gochujang and chili crisp sauce brings bold flavor. It’s a colorful, satisfying meal that’s as good for you as it is delicious!

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Short grain white rice
  • 1/4 Cup Korean black rice
  • 2 Tbsp of sesame oil
  • 1 Pack beech mushrooms
  • 1 Cup edamame
  • 1 Cup beef bone broth (Substitute for chicken bone broth or water)
  • 1 Tbsp Butter (Optional)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Gochujang
  • 1 Tbsp Chili crisp (Optional)
  • 1 Pack Seaweed (Optional)
Instructions

    Add washed white and black rice to rice cooker

    Add bone broth according to instructions on rice cooker
    For more viscous brands of bone broth I recommend mixing in a 1:1 ratio with water to prevent burning

    Top top with edamame and mushrooms
    Optional - add a knob of butter for extra flavor

    Fluff rice and top with sesame oil, chili crisp, and Gochujang.
